The Laboratory of Experimental Microbiology research the pathophysiology of infectious diseases in order to better understand the mechanisms of pathogenicity of the organism and host response in addition to new therapeutic strategies. We studied bacterial meningitis using an animal model that allows a refined clinical assessment and neurological, due to calm handling.
The group consists of teachers researchers of Laboratory of Experimental Microbiology, associate researchers, students of the Postgraduate Program in Health Sciences (PPGCS) of Unesc (Master and Doctorate), scientific initiation students and graduate students of Unesc.
